Course Overview: The course is an introduction to investment analysis, portfolio management, and capital markets. It will discuss general principles of asset valuation with application to specific securities. By the end of the course you should have a framework for thinking about business problems. The course website is accessible from the University of Utah WebCT site http://webct.utah.edu/. Alternatively, you can follow the link from the top of this page. The website will contain all course materials, including syllabus, schedule, project instructions, announcements, lecture notes, homework assignments, practice tests, scores, web links, etc. You will need to login. Your WebCT ID is your UNID, a lower-case u and the last seven digits of your University ID number. Your Password is your Network Services Password, issued when you applied for a Network ID or NID. This is the same password used to log into the Marriott Library computer labs, utah.edu email accounts, ANA, and other campus computing services. If you have changed your password in the Campus Information System (the online class registration system) after March 26, 2003, your passwords will be the same for all of the above services. Please note: your passwords are only the same if you change your password in the Campus Information System after March 26, 2003.
