Photographing hockey is challenging. The players are moving in mulitple directions all at one time, so there are always blurs shooting the opposite direction a player is moving. These blurs, however, give a sense of the dynamism of the game and the speed of play. The other challenge is the rinks are not well lit, which makes it difficult to shoot at high shutter speeds. The result is a lot of pictures that are smudges of color and nothing is in focus. My solution is to shoot a lot of pictures and throw away most of them. This collection of tournament photos started as about 4,000 pictures. There are about 530 pictures posted to this site. They are a somewhat random collection, but there are a lot of key moments here, too. I am certain I did not capture each kid's best play of the tournament, but I hope I got pictures of all the players at some point.
The photos are sorted by game. The prefix indicates the game number (01 is the first game). The lighting was terrible for the first game, so I got very few pictures. There are lots of pictures from games 2-4. I did not shoot any pictures of game 5.
