Porsche tours are a great opportunity for parents and children to spend
time together. My son, Alexander, who is 12, has participated in multiple-day,
overnight tours and shorter day drives over the past three years. He
enjoys the sightseeing and the thrill of driving on secondary roads.
Together, we have seen all the red rock country in southern Utah and
northern Arizona, significant parts of the Colorado Rockies, and much
of Idaho and western Montana. We have killed time together on the drives
and had meaningful discussions. Mostly, we just enjoy spending the time
together.
The hardest part of a tour for kids is the "socializing."
For the most part, Alexander has done pretty well, mainly because the
people on the tour always go out of their way to take an interest in
him. As with all things Porsche, "it's the people." So, if
you have a child interested in joining you for a drive, you are both
welcome.
