Dr. Abe Bakhsheshy is an associate professor/lecturer of the Management Department, David Eccles School of Business. He has worked for the University of Utah for over twenty-five years. Prior to joining the Management Department as a full time lecturer in July of 2002, Dr. Bakhsheshy served the University of Utah Hospitals and Community Clinics as the Director of Quality Resources, Marketing, Public Relations and Customer Services. Preceding this position, he had managerial responsibilities for over twelve UUHN Medical centers throughout the state of Utah. Dr. Bakhsheshy has served as chair-person of the Department Head Group of the University of Utah Hospitals and Clinics. His experience also includes five years of managerial background overseas.

 Dr. Bakhsheshy has been the recipient of the University of Utah’s Presidential Staff Award, formally recognizing his leadership and immense interest in serving the University. He was also awarded the Health Sciences Center Employee of the Year Award for his constant devotion to patient care and to the welfare of employees. His areas of interest in teaching include health care management, human resources management, organizational behavior, quality management, management of ethics, and cultural diversity.
